Pacca Alpaca Travel Playtime is a collection of 50 classic early learning games, from dot-to-dot to jigsaw puzzles, as you discover famous landmarks and locations set to authentic music from around the world! In addition, all app stores (Apple, Google Play and Amazon) will be discounting all Pacca Alpaca apps from today (11pm GMT) until 30th December (6pm GMT) to celebrate the festive season! This is a sponsored post. I received a free copy of Pacca Alpaca Travel Playtime in exchange for this review. All opinions are my own. I reviewed the first Pacca Alpaca app here: Pacca Alpaca | multilingual app for kids.
I had my children, especially my three year old son Rémy, test the Travel Playtime app. He enjoyed many of the 50 fun activities. Each activity makes a cultural reference to countries around the world. The illustrations are bright and colorful.
Rémy especially enjoyed the dot to dot activities that magically “come to life” when completed. His fine motor skills needed a bit of help with jigsaw puzzles, but he thought those were fun too.
The I Spy activities were a bit more challenging for my three year old but once he caught on, he loved looking for the hidden images. This is an excellent activity to promote emergent literacy. Distinguishing objects helps children learn to differentiate, a needed skill for learning to recognize letters of the alphabet.
The stickers set in exotic locations around the world is another activity he loved, especially once we realized we could rotate and resize the stickers. This inspired lots of giggles from my three year old.
And this last one was by far his favorite! He absolutely adored coloring and could spend hours coloring and re-coloring the little snake for example. But there are also dozens of other games just waiting to be discovered.
Just as a note to parents, the Pacca Alpaca apps can be silenced for those critical moments when you need to keep your child occupied for a few minutes without making any noise. This came quite in handy for me this past week when Rémy accompanied me on parent teacher meetings for my children where he just couldn’t keep still anymore. He was happily engaged for the few minutes of silence I needed using an app that I knew and trusted.
Don’t forget to take advantage of all the Pacca Alpaca apps that are discounted across all app stores from today (11pm GMT) until 30th December (6pm GMT) to celebrate the festive season!
